Community Award for Adex Venture CEO Prime Minister 'honoured' to meet Edmonton Based Adex Venture and O”-Bay Community Trust Chief Executive Officer During the year Mr Ade Adeshina the Chief Executive of Adex Venture and O”-Bay Community Trust was honoured by the Prime Minister for his selfless work in the community. Ade Adeshina, 44, joined 70 "local heroes" from across the country at 10 Downing Street for a reception hosted by Gordon Brown and his wife, Sarah. He was invited by Labour MP for Edmonton, Andy Love, for his work as Chief Executive and co-founder of O"-Bay Community Trust. Mr Adeshina said he was "so surprised and pleased” for the Prime Minister to have acknowledged the contribution we has made to the community. He also said that "It was a great pleasure to meet the Prime Minister”. The Prime Minister on his part expressed his appreciation of the activities of the Trust as one of those organisations that work quietly behind the scenes but makes great impact in the welfare of people in the community. Alongside his work for O"-Bay Community Trust, Mr Adeshina is also chairman of the Enfield Racial Equality Council, secretary of the Council of Enfield Black Asian Minority Ethnic, director of the Ponders End Community Development Trust and managing director of Adex Ventures - a company trading in renewable energy products. The event gave all MPs from across the country the chance to nominate somebody from their constituency who makes a significant contribution to the community. Speaking after the event, Mr Love MP for Edmonton said: “It gave me great pleasure to nominate Ade to receive official recognition from the Prime Minister for the work he does within our local community. "Ade’s commitment to providing valuable services for the people of Enfield is admirable and he should be rewarded for that.” |
